We review Season 3, episode 5 of City Confidential: "St. Augustine: The Socialite and the Politician." It's the tale of a murder that rocked a ritzy Florida town. Supermodel Athalia Ponsell-Lindsley, the mayor's wife, was murdered and nearly decapitated with a machete in 1974. With almost cruel hilarity, we find out how half the town hated this pushy/aging New York actress/model/socialite. A politician who despised Athalia was tried and acquitted of her murder, and police never looked for another suspect. The pearls, such a look!
